Flying Great Blue Heron (2779F)

Description

There is nothing so majestic as a Great Blue Heron flying over a Louisiana swamp.¬† If you ever travel to Louisiana, you should visit Lake Martin, a preserve for not only herons, but egrets, alligators and other swamp life.¬†¬† You can spend hours watching and listening to the birds.¬† And, oh how thrilling it is when one of the pink herons takes off in flight.¬† Lake Martin makes me understand how our state received the name “Sportsman’s Paradise”, though I cannot imagine how anyone would want to do harm to them.
